Warehouse Forklift Driver

We are seeking an experienced and passionate forklift driver to join our Operations team. As an essential member of our warehouse operations, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless pallet movements and maintaining the highest levels of customer satisfaction.

As a skilled driver, you will be responsible for tasks such as picking, replenishing, and loading/unloading using a handheld scanner and the appropriate Material Handling Equipment (MHE).

Responsibilities/ Duties

  • Utilise MHE to efficiently complete tasks ensuring that customer orders are promptly dispatched the next day. Your precision and attention to detail will contribute directly to our commitment to exceptional customer service.
  • Contribute to the smooth running of our warehouse by skilfully manoeuvring forklifts, moving pallets, and efficiently picking and loading/unloading deliveries.
  • Uphold the highest standards of safety while carrying out your responsibilities. Your commitment to maintaining a safe work environment will not only protect you and your colleagues but also ensure the well-being of everyone involved.

The ideal candidate will…

  • Possess experience as a warehouse driver, demonstrating a deep understanding of pallet movements, picking, replenishing, and loading/unloading processes.
  • Have a strong proficiency in operating a variety of Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including forklifts, and be adept at using hand-held scanners for inventory management.
  • Exhibit exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring that customer orders are processed correctly and dispatched promptly to maintain the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Prioritise safety and adhere to strict safety protocols, contributing to a secure and protected work environment for themselves and their colleagues.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability, willingly supporting other workstreams within the warehouse when needed to cover for fellow warehouse colleagues.
  • Possess a valid Forklift Flexi/Bendi certificate, showcasing the ability to operate Flexi/Bendi forklifts with precision and efficiency.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills, enabling clear and effective coordination with team members, supervisors, and other stakeholders within the warehouse setting.
  • Possess a strong work ethic, being reliable, punctual, and dedicated to consistently meeting deadlines and achieving goals.
  • Display a commitment to ongoing learning and improvement, staying updated on industry best practices and adapting to new technologies and processes as they arise.
